Buakaw gets a new opponent at kunlun fight 69
Kunlun has announced three big changes to its Kunlun Fight 69 card on 4 February, with Nayanesh
The Thai fighter was to originally set to face Chinese superstar Hu Yafei, but the promotion today announced a new opponent.
Hailing from the Congo, Ayman has been asking to challenge Buakaw since his controversial loss to Superbon Banchamek at Kunlun Fight 65. The fight will take place on 4 February in Guiyang, China, as part of the final of the Clash of Titans tournament.
Kunlun has also added two MMA fights to the card.
Former welterweight champion Zhang Lipeng will be looking to get back into title contention when he faces Brazil’s Italo Goncalves. China’s Yan Xibo will meet American striker Khama Worthy in a featherweight scrap.
A previously announced flyweight title fight between Zhang Meixuan and Oscar Suarez has been removed. Zhang, currently riding a three-fight win streak, will now face Japanese flyweight Tsubasa Akiyama in a non-title bout. Akiyama has spent the past few years fighting under the DEEP and Shooto banner and takes his first fight with Kunlun in February.
Interestingly, a much hyped fight between Yodsanklai Fairtex and Enriko Kehl was not added to Kunlun’s latest line up, despite both fighters actively promoting the bout on social media.
